Cuyamaca College Proposition V Projects
​Proposition V projects are intended to prepare local students and veterans for college and career success by upgrading the District’s career training facilities for science, medical, and public safety. As part of Proposition V, a Veterans Support Center will be established on each campus. Additionally, each campus will see extensive technology upgrades to classrooms, libraries, and science labs. Access to campus facilities will be enhanced for people with disabilities.
 
Projects expected to be funded by Proposition V include the following:
  • New Instructional Building (F)
  • New energy-efficient lighting fixtures in parking lots and roadways and replacement of fluorescent bulbs in classrooms to energy-efficient LED bulbs
  • New Student Services Building
  • Renovated Student Center that includes a Veterans Center
  • Upgrades to the Ornamental Horticultural complex including classrooms, offices and greenhouses
  • Enhancements such as showers and locker room at the Exercise Science Building
  • Track and field improvements
  • Campus-wide roadway, parking lot and landscaping improvements

In May 2014, the GCCCD Facilities Funding Plan was approved to address the budgets of projects identified in the Facilities Master Plan.
